it works, but it took me a few tries. also, you really can only use the shim 3 or 4 times before it crumples too much. do what me and some friends did, make a ton, and keep them in a bowl. we made about 70 of them.
I can confirm that this works. i did this and it works like a charm threre is just one thing that i got wrong: remember to make the tip of the shim squarish instead of pointish

I tried it, the shim crumpled up just like the others said. Im not sure its fake so much as you just need to keep making them till you get a good one.
