telegraph.co.uk — The colour, but silent, film was recorded covertly at the concert in Kansas in 1964 and is believed to be the only recording of the 31 minute gig. Fan Drew Dimmel, who is now selling the roll of 8mm film reel at a British auction house, was 15 when he went to see the band in his home city.

It wouldnt' be too difficult to figure out what tune they were playing. They're on-stage antics were pretty much cut and paste from concert to concert. It looked like it "She Loves You".

Here's a technology history lesson for all you kids. Back in 1964, they didn't have cameras in phones that stored hours of footage. Film cameras then were fairly expensive, and 8mm and Super 8mm cameras for the average person usually didn't have audio to keep the price affordable. And a reel of motion picture film only lasted about 2 or 3 minutes.

An honest mistake.

The Beatles manager Brian Epstein was very adamant about venues NOT recording the Beatles in concert... mainly because they couldn't here themselves play over the wailing fans, and therefore didn't sound very good. So, any kind of document of them performing live has some interest.
