treehugger.com — This intriguing - and somewhat complex - concept design for a bathroom mirror brings the water crisis right in front of your face. The mirror is lit with LEDs powered by the flow of water in the pipes. As you use the mirror throughout the year, the patterns of water use and supply create a frame, and you can see how your habits affect the planet.

I bet that it will show that people use more water when the faucet is a small trickle of ice cold water.

The thing about cities who get their water supply from a river is that, it doesn't matter how much water you use. If you don't use it, it gets dumped into the gulf anyway, and it's so polluted upstream from industrial and agricultural runoff and batman that it's already ruined by the time it's late for dinner.

God forbid we have some damn foresight and use the most efficient form of electricity generation available to mankind. You're absolutely right they don't just get plopped down. Doesn't mean we shouldn't build as many of them as possible.

I have to agree with you. Although at first this seems like a great idea - and possibly could be for some - overall, it doesn't help a whole lot. Conserving regularly is the best practice, not buying an expensive mirror.
