alternet.org— I was recently stopped by Homeland Security as I was returning from a trip to Syria. What I saw in the hours that followed shocked and disturbed me.

This is ridiculous. I'm a white, successful, 30 something American whose lived in the middle east off and on for 3 years and I get this sort of treatment routinely. Note: I hate, repeat, hate, the current administration and their absurd policies but, frankly, profiling is now a way of life; even in America. This country and most of Europe and the western world were once immune to these intrusions but no longer. I agree it sucks...a lot! I've been on the frustrating end of these types of interrogation tactics for many hours. It does make one livid, but all said, after a few hours you calm down and accept the way the world is now. Last note: if people could get over religion, this would all be moot.peace and anit-theism...serioulsy
No problems at either the US or Canadian border. I've only been pulled over for secondary inspection in the US one time because the computer randomly chose my vehicle. The officer in the booth even apologized. Inside secondary inspection, my wife and son sat down, while I chatted with another officer who typed information from my driver's licence and birth certificate into a computer and gave me some shopping tips.
well then canada and australia dont seem too bad, but the canadian weather is big turn off for an LA citizenlol i just realized i didnt finish the comment.
That's exactly the problem. In an airport you have zero rights for the most part because until you pass through the border you're not officially in any country.
Buried for being a right wing f**ktard.Gee, and he's a rightard dumbf**k who doesn't think there is anything wrong with harrassing muslims. What a shock.

A terrorist can get into the US the same way illegal drugs and fireworks get in.
