mediabistro.com — That was what Illinois Senator Barack Obama, currently on a book tour that may or may not segue into a run for the 2008 presidency, said to New Yorker editor David Remnick, after he asked Obama whether or not his admission of drug use in the book would become problematic if he does run.

George Washington smoked pot.George Bush smoked pot.Clinton smoked pot but he did it the right way (depending on your interpretation) as he went with the native american traditional method of not inhaling the smoke so the prayers reach in full to the heavens.worldpeace,benps. I've been inhaling lately.

@steinbeckgirlThinking about what you said. I believe there's most likely a lot of truth to it. I let my personal feelings for Barack get in the way of logical thought. I try not to do that, but I did. I apologize.

I think he's got a decent shot at it. I have to admit though, racism will be a huge factor, probably just motivate the media to find more subversive ways to defame his character. I'd vote for him, and I stupidly voted GOP for the last 12 years. Also, middle (dumb-ass) America will never vote an atheist.

So Barack Obama admits to smoking marijuana and there is big stink about it, do we not remember that Bush has driven drunk in past leading to a totaled vehicle? Not to mention there is allegations of cocaine usage while we was a C student at Yale (think about that, he bought his was into Yale and all he could come out with was a C?)

I'm just waiting for the first president to win an election having done acid or did E at some point in his lifetime. Haha. We now have a president in the lead that has done coke and smoked pot, so apparently it actually helps the election.I like his attitude about it..."I inhaled - that was the point" :DJust imagine how that would change people's views. I'd enjoy seeing that one in action :) (Wonder if people would accept that?)
