Banshee 1.0 is only in the Banshee Team's repository on launchpad...it's not in the official repositories although it might appear in hardy-backports.

Please stop whining about Amarok dependence! Did you try to run Banshee on KDE???????check simply :AMAROK DEPENDENCE : KDELIBSQT+codecsBANSHEE DEPENDENCE : The whole gnome (more, more, more bigger that kdelibs+qt)GTK (the QT equivalent for Gnome)MONO (wash, the first "LINUX" software I installed that NEED .NET to run.......).. Nautilus HAL+DBUSPERLPYTHON+codecsCrash on start, give a ton of garbage on the terminal, tried to debug it bug give up.amaroK will stay! And now need to clean my distrib of this garbage (.Net)
