gburt.blogspot.com — Banshee 1.0 Beta 2 is out, and includes podcasting (audio and video, streamed or downloaded)! It also has auto-rip (pop a cd in, it rips and ejects, rinse/repeat) and CD burning via the awesome Brasero burning app! Banshee is a free/open-source media player with awesome video, last.fm, podcasting, library browsing/searching, and device support.

Don't want that Mono crap.

im really into where banshee is going. i've tried pretty much every audio player in linux and i always come back to amarok for ease of use and feature set. I hope the "now playing" screen will be comparable to the amarok context browser. it sounds like it will be, but it isn't implemented yet in the betas. one step closer to an all GTK desktop
