nytimes.com— Why not just go ahead and nationalize? Remember, the longer we live with zombie banks, the harder it will be to end the economic crisis.

Why did Bush and Paulson support the HUGE bailout in 2008 - which was, in effect, nationalization???Why didn't Bush, consevative and Republican, STAY THE COURSE for Wall Street - let all of them go belly-up?Why didn't he fire Paulson as he fired the previous Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill?
Cramer is a overcaffeinated howler monkey that jumps around on TV. Even before the crash, he was outperformed by Playboy Playmates and even buying stocks at random. He has no idea what he is talking about.
None of this can work out if the banks have to continue paying the government back these loans. This is a vicious cycle I see no end to! What we want is the impossible.
The tricky part will be prying the fingers of degenerate, sociopathic trust fund babies from the levers of power without them retaliating and doing massive damage.Once we they are removed from power, we can put them in a special country club with no outside phone lines or internet access or exits, and just let them f**k each other over and leave the rest of us alone.Or put them on a desert island with all the natural resources they need to survive, but no servants. They would all die of starvation within a week because they'd be waiting for someone to pick the fruit and scoop up the water for them.

Banks fail and are "socialized" every week-end. The assets are returned to the private sector very quickly, so folks are not aware of it.

Right now the banks control the government. If nationalized they still will. Still I don't like the moves towards communism we are making.
