morality101.net— So here is what really happened ? the Cause. Simply put, it was manipulation of our economy, loose money, then tight money, by The Fed with the virtually silent cooperation of Congress.

Yesterday, as the House vote nailed the lid on our coffin, I added a note to the original post, not that it makes any real difference. I mulled for days before writing that Article, and am quite disappointed that it received so few reads. Perhaps the title didn't thrill anyone? 100 Friends passed by without Sharing -- Ouchie! So I plan to take the hint, refocusing on the fearsome-sounding word "morality". We'll need to understand true morality and liberty if and whenever we return from the dark age. http://morality101.net/blog/
We are forever treating symptom so we never address the cause. We would not tolerate deregulating our streets by taking out the stop signs, so why would we deregulate the flow of undisclosed billions of dollars that could and did hurt the entire nation?
My response to the poor excuse I received from my representative:While I understand that some measure was needed to correct the problems on Wall Street, I do not think this bill was the answer. I fear that, as always, Congress acted quickly in order to look good in an election year, rather than to do the right thing. Did you read the bill before signing? If so, can you explain to me how the pork that was stuffed into it was relevant to the financial crisis? How do the auto industry, Hollywood, toy manufacturers, etc. relate to the financial crisis with the banks.I stand by my assertion that this bill was a fraud and a bailout for special interests. You have lost any chance of every getting my vote again. You are right, politics should not be a popularity contest. That is why so many people are fed up with our government. You are, and have been for years, part of the problem. Politicians need to be reminded that they have no right to our votes because they belong to a certain party. That is why people are looking more into 3rd party candidates this year. You are reaping what you have sown, and I hope this is your last term in office. You are not fit for the title that has been bestowed upon you.
