Standards based designers do these things a lot. That doesn't mean it is directly connected to standards-based design. You are the troll, and I'm tired of it.
Bad ideas for posting to DiggThings digg members sometimes do, but shouldn't. 5 in all.* submit your own site to digg * include catchy phrases like "standards-based design" in your summary to draw attention.* post articles with nothing new and no "expert advice" in the article.* have a bad attitude when someone corrects you * call others a troll when criticized
It's ironic that Montoya uses some of the worst web design cliches on a blog critiquing other pages- light text on a dark background, and medium blue text on a dark background. Jacob Nielsen and Tog would excoriate you for that, and rightly so.

You don't need to do any of these to have a bad design. Anyone else remember Mirsky's Worst of The Web? :-)
