I'm a 3D Modeler myself so I've seen a lot of work like this already... actually I saw the tutorial on how this was made... but i'm not complaining still impressive work.
What's the point? Besides your average teen male response of "I'd hit that" or "She's hot."So some guy spent hours and hours rendering from a photo. It's a blatant copy. I'd be more impressed if he made up someone's features. There's too many "artists" out there copying photographs into vector or 3D work and I just don't understand the point.
Isn't it weird how history repeats itself? Artists in the 1800s were trying to duplicate reality perfectly. The modernists then took over in the 1900s with their impressionist and realist art. Now, we are once again trying to portray the world as real as possible. What's next, abstract 3d-rendered movies and games?
It's human progress ... there probably will be abstract movies someday, although that would be a day when technology will have made humans way too dependent on it. Sorry for the cliche.
She's cool looking except for the horse teeth. Seriously, they look too big for her mouth. And her hair looks too perfect.Yes, I'm just nitpicking. It's still totally awesome. But it freaked me out a little when she smiled in the video cause I wasn't expecting those teeth.

Believe it or not, you're reading a CGI version of a digg post I just wrote.

1st of all, all pics including this 1 are 2d. 2nd, photos are also renderings and look even better.
