dailymail.co.uk — The BBC will broadcast a hi-tech ?8million adaptation of Rudyard Kipling classic The Jungle Book.It is the first animated version of the stories since the hugely popular 1967 Disney feature film - but has been created by computer instead of being hand-drawn.

Is £8million for 52 parts in the series really that bad?

Based on the poster...I'd say they all look way too happy. The story shouldn't be dressed so childishly IMO. The original animated series can't possibly be outdone by something that looks like Dreamworks did it.

Good for the BBC to try something different -- but WTF? Why go for something that looks like a half-assed derivative of the Disney cartoon mashed with every mediocre Brand X animation of the last 10 years? How about some original British flavor rather than knocking off the American knock-off?
