You ask for a copy of your birth cert. from your state and see what you get. Putz.

TruthStream - again, you need to stop using FactCheck as your source, and get the real law. The law you are assuming was not enacted until 1986, and it was not made retroactive. So FactCheck is wrong again.

TruthStream - once again, the document, even with its raised seal, is not the official birth certificate - it is only the "certification of live birth" (and a copy at that). It was printed in 2007, pulling a few data points from an amendable database. Like most if not all states, the actual, live, long-form, vaulted copy of the actual "Certificate of Live Birth" - usually hand typed or even handwritten in the 1960's - is the final authoritative copy. It is that, and only that, document that can settle this portion of the argument. It would help if more dissenters to these comments would actually read the court documents and the legal points made.FactCheck.org is an incomplete source, at least for this topic, since it only has been providing partial information and has not touched the majority of the issues covered in Berg's and others' cases.

JenniferInMO - False what?? John2KDiggs, who it appears you are responding to, made a number of points.ThePoliticalCat - In a legal discussion, the first step is to establish facts and foundational assumptions. Based on your statement, it appears that you have agreed to all of Berg's foundational assumptions of what laws were in effect at the time of Obama's birth. And so, you have hit on one of the key factual points THAT IS IN CONTENTION in the case. So simply saying "it i so" doesn't make it a verified fact. In fact (sorry, no pun intended), the location of Obama's birth seems to have enough conflicting direct and indirect evidence that it has caused a number of legal issues for Obama already. For example, there may or may not be a video of Obama's paternal grandmother stating that she was at his birth IN Kenya. Similarly, it appears that someone may have found a copy of Obama's Kenyan birth certificate. Further, others have found documents that may or may not be additional "certifications of live birth", but, these are in three different hospitals (2 in Hawaii and 1 in Canada of all places). And finally, there are no invoices or billing information for an Obama born in Hawaii at any of these hospitals for 1961.So, with enough potentially conflicting information, I hope you can see that the "fact" of where Obama was actually born is, actually, still in question.

It was dismissed (not thrown out) on a standing issue - basically, that US citizens can not sue elected officials, which has now due to the precedent of this case, has been expanded to candidates running for elected office. However, not only are there 9 other cases that are all learning how to correct themselves, but so is Berg - he's appealed to the US Supreme Court.

TriDork, instead of copying andpasting you BS, why don't you try backing up your position with some documentary evidence?BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

No documentation will ever satisfy the right wing conspiracy theorists. They'll say the documents are phony. They could take a time machine back to Obama's birth on US soil and they'd claim they were in an alternate universe.
