I have long thought about moving to Canada as the people seem to care about the other people there...not so sure anymore."Welcome to Canada! Ah, but before we serve the poutine, you must pass this test:"BZZZZZZZ"AAAAGH!!!"ZZZZZZZT!Now I like The Netherlands better as a choice.

The man clearly was violent before security and the police arrived. Just because someone speaks a foreign language doesn't mean someone who doesn't speak that language would be able to identify it-- but the airport security officer WAS saying to get an interpreter so while they were trying to scare one up, the police arrived.I love it when people think interpreters for every language are standing around any place they go. What budget would that come out of, baby milk for crack babies? No, I didn't think so. The man also had something in his hand and was clearly acting in a threatening and unstable manner, which is why he was tased so soon, because the officers knew he was about to lose it. Rather than wait for one of them to be hurt first -- again, some people think the police should allow themselves to be hurt first, which is beyond lunatic -- they elected to quickly subdue the man with the taser. Usually, the person falls down, scream a little, go stiff or become docile. He did not. He decided to fight the effects and kept flailing. At no time was an officers knee on the man's throat. At no time was the man cooperative, at no time did he finally stop resisting. At the end of the tape, one officer is seen striking something on the floor near the man. He was removing the 'thing' he had in his hand but I couldn't see what it was.All the commenters love to jump to conclusions and just hate the first responders without informing themselves and considering what they see with calm deliberation. This is why Digg is a double edged sword.

I don't care what arguments some of you idiots in earlier posts use, getting angry and breaking a chair shouldn't warrent a death sentence.

That doesn't rule out hand signals and tackling the guy. Tasing should always be a last resort, as much as the gun should be.

YES! That was my immediate reaction to the thing... and at that point he was apparently already unconscious.

Well, technically since we started using a subsistance grain economy and created localized cities.

This is like saying "tasers don't tase people; cops tase people." If we didn't have tasers, we wouldn't have people being tased.

This is what i always thought too, people who want to become cops do it because they want to be a cowboy and carry a gun around. THe mentality that these officers have is clear by my experiences, and by the one's you catch on the news like this one. Sure not all cops are like this, but a large majority are simply because of the qualities of the job. Control, weapon-handling, high speed car chases, suppressing minorities....these are all things that attract volatile red-necks. That is the problem.

be more constructive with your feedback...

the seems to me that no matter what the situation, the police want you completely incapable of resisting them before they will do anything else, even if your not the reason for them being there. They need to realize this is, or at least is supposed to be a free country, not a police state, and the citizenry(if that's even a word) need not be helplessly at the mercy of the cops just because they are present.

definitely murder. The cops should also get tasered, the ones who shot him. ok, i can hear their thinking right now, they said" hmmm, got to find someone to use this new toy on, that we have learned how to operate". never mind that it is a real human, but, oops, they thought he was russian, therefore not a real human.,really, truly, it is so obvious that the guy is frustrated and distraught after an ordeal of mistreatment by the customs detainment. Ther eis simply no excuse whatsoever for the cops actions, their response in no way fits the situation. IT IS AS IF THIS IS WHAT THEY WERE TRAINED TO DO, NOTICE THAT?time to stand up against this nasty thing , make your voices be heard en masse. or it will get worse, you may be next.

are you nuts? It's NEVER been ok in the usa or anywhere to do this crap!
