They will still make the playoffs with any losses. The question is will they get home ice. Very disappointing that they were 1 point away from Calgary. 1 stinker is ok, but please no more.Go Burrows Go!
while it did deflect off of the coyote players stick, which is possession, there was no control. on top of the fact he didn't deflect it into the goal. it was o brien that did deflect it in the goal. therefore i feel as if the right call was made.upon watching again, based on the motion of the coyote player's stick, there is no way his was what caused the puck to go in the direction of the goal. definitely o'briens
I don't follow Hockey, but it seems like the spirit of the rule is to play an advantage. In Rugby Union, an advantage play can go a minute beyond the initial infringement. In Rugby League it might play out until the next stoppage. Basketball has the breakaway basket rules. The common theme in all these sports is that as soon as there is no advantage to the team that has been infringed, play stops!!What kind of screw arsed game allows an own goal within the "advantage" period?

And he's only 20, so he's been playing professionally since he was 5?
