Some of you people are ridiculous. Digg is NOT your personally crafted homepage, Digg is community where the wants of the majority determine what everyone gets. Obviously a large portion of this community liked the post, and didn't feel the DivX web plugin posed a threat, otherwise the video would not have 550 diggs (and counting) and be sitting on the front page. If you don't like what the people of this community put on the front page, go somewhere else.

Jesus crist people, will you turn down the whine!The DivX Webplayer is a great plugin, it's fast, high quality, doesn't take up alot space, low cpu usage and doesn't require much bandwith, way way way better then Flash.And it DOESN'T contain spyware, it can download banners to be shown on their pages, I haven't seen any though...
