s**t, my friend Shaw has a laptop that we don't want to install tiger or leopard on because we don't want it to perform slowly and it hasn't be restarted in well over a year.
Must...resist...AAGGGGHHHHH!!!!!! FLYING RAGE!!!!!There IS no irony in this! Where the heck do you purport to see irony? You can't just say irony because it's funny. They're not the same. A firefighter dying in a fire is irony. A crooked locksmith being finally caught by a lock he couldn't pick is irony. Apple putting BSODs on cover flow is NOT irony. It's funny, but it's not close to irony. Now, if your mac crashed *while* viewing the Windows network locations (BSODs and all), *that* would be some choice irony. This is not. Look it up, and eduate yourself. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Irony
I think I have gotten no more than 5 kernel panics since I installed the OS X beta. I even took a photo of the first kernel panic because I had never seen anything like it.That being said, I had this fifth kernel panic within the 24 hours after installing Leopard, and I had to reboot just an hour ago because every application I tried to launch crashed. This is by far the most flaky OS X release ever.
I have been working with computers since I was a kid and still I couldn't make up anything useful from any of the many blue screen error messages I've seen. For 99% of all users, an error message saying the computer has crashed and needs a reboot it, is both more useful and less intimidating than a bunch of programmer jargon and hex codes.

I still don't understand why grown-ups can't have fun. Steve Jobs seems to have a lot of fun.
