Listen to this kid cry over World of Warcraft because his parents are telling him to get off but he doesn't want to. He CRIES and yells back at them yet his parents are still speaking so softly and kindly with him. I would never get away with this sort of backtalk.

Giving a child a clip around the ears if they are being disobedient, arrogant and rude. It hardly counts as violence.Its called Discipline for a reason. I doubt if it would have any effect on this kids social life, and taking away his Ethernet cable for being a "bad boy" isn't going to prepare him for the real world at all.
