torrentfreak.com — Piracy watchdog Nexicon has found the ultimate way to turn piracy into profit for the fresh copyright holders added to their clientele. They offer alleged file-sharers the chance to settle for $10 per downloaded song or an equal amount for a pirated movie. If you decide not to settle, they promise to bankrupt you in court.

I'd feel good about paying 5 to 10 cents for a song, 1 to 5 dollars for a movie. If I pay any more than that ever again in my life, I'd feel bad in my ass for a week.

Not true. I'm 50 and I hate them, too!

A lot of people are concerned with completeness. I have discographies for a lot of bands despite the fact that I don't listen to all the songs.30,000 is only a lot to people who just listen to the popular songs.

I don't feel too bad about paying a fair price for a movie, since that provides an evening or afternoon of entertainment through either sitting in a theatre or at home. But paying for music when I'm attacked by it everywhere I go? NO WAY! I can't make a call on my phone to complain about anything without being put on hold AND BEING ATTACKED BY MUSIC! Ditto riding in an elevator, more music. I don't go to bars anymore as I don't want my ears violated! The stuffed is pumped out of half the cars on the road, sometimes at idiotic levels! I just wish it would all stop! It's nothing but pollution and it's everywhere! Think about how much more enjoyable the world would be if everyone that wants to hear that stuff just used headphones!I think the RIAA should leave file sharers alone and start going after everyone that listens to music in public! Think about the performance fees they could collect. Think about all the quiet that would result!

Is a person that did no pirate going to just take it up the ass and pay? You and I both know we're not talking about these notices going to innocent people that don't even own a computer. We're talking about people that have pirated receiving these notices and then getting pissed and wanting to start killing them and using the whole "my dead grandmother received one of these" to take the focus off of them.
