Finally!!! The Big Three must not be given even more government money. Bankruptcy is a far better option because it will allow them to restructure and become more efficient, or maybe sell or close a few branches of cars. It will allow them to get the UAW under control along with executive compensation for running these corporations into the ground. Tax payer money has no business going to a company so it can pay ridiculous salaries and compensations during a recession. If the Big Three got the money, it would only be a matter of time before they come back asking for more.
Hi Lee:I bet you meant $30 per hour. What's important about UAW wages is that they set the standard against which other auto workers wages are set. With the UAW gone Southern workers will be paid much less.
