This story doesn't even register on CNN's homepage. Far more interesting is the story about how 'buxom teeny-waist mailbox art miffs neighbors'. This doesn't even seem that fricking bad. It was probably taken way out of context and he probably meant something along the lines of hes the first African American who has a real shot at the presidency.

Trent Lott said something even more stupid and he didn't resign from the Senate (majority leader but not the Senate). If you read the NY Times you'd realize that this is on the front page. He's been forgiven. You know we just misunderstood. They left out a comma, if they hadn't have done that we've had understood he meant 'fresh'. Kinda like Carter said there should have been a comma in the title of his book 'peace, not apartheid'. Kinda like we misunderstood Kerry's botched joke - he left out one word and it got completely misconstrued. Or everyone misunderstanding the meaning of is. It goes on and on doesn't it!
