leftlanenews.com — Audi has just unveiled the 2008 R8 -- its first ever production supercar. Sales will begin in the first half of 2007 for the United States and Europe. The car has a 414 horsepower high-revving V8 engine and all-wheel-drive. It uses a mid-engine Lamborghini platform, and will sell for around $100,000 -- positioning it squarely against the BMW M6.

you still end up with a fast car w/ a not as good interior as you find in the audi. This is a stupid debate. A Neon SRT-4 can probably smoke my car (A6 2.7T) in a straight line, but in the end, it is still a Neon; no heated seats, no bose (eh), probably no leather, squeaky interior, and crappy handling.-this is in the wrong spot, but whatever.

The rear end of the R8 is beautiful, but the front just seems forced. Yeah, it's agressive looking, but not really appealing. The headlight treatment just seems off.

I sat in a new TT when I was in Berlin over the summer .... absolutely AMAZING!!!! I would choose that car EASILY for any car that's under 100k.

I thought the TT was a hideous car. It looks like a stretched and squatted VW Bug with squared off headlights. Not to mention it was dog slow for how expensive it was.

I saw nowhere in the ad how many miles per gallon it got.Also, I can cough up a better performing car in a napkin. The auto industry is pathetic.I'm going to design a better car that runs on split water. Audi, get on the STICK.
