news.yahoo.com — Business at Atlantic City's 11 casinos is falling at a record pace. Aggregate revenue plunged 19.2 percent in February from a year earlier, the sharpest decline in the 30 years since gambling was legalized in the city, according to the New Jersey Casino Control Commission.

Nothing and I mean nothing is recession proof not even basic human needs like food and sex.During the Great the Depression, there was a point where many people could no longer afford food. So as one might logically surmise food sells declined as people increasingly went without food or were forced to eat weeds.

ive lived ten minutes from AC my whole life, and i can tell you that atlantic city is just a smaller Las Vegas, but with herpes. its a pretty disgusting place all in all and ive always loathed it (even though ive occasionally enjoyed it, i know, its hypocritical, but sometimes theres not much else to do in this area)and while ive always thought that the world could be a better place without atlantic city, i kind of hope the casinos dont collapse. only because it wouldnt just ruin AC, it would ruin all the surrounding cities, including my home town. the whole area would suffer greatly, the casinos bring in alot of people from out of town, both tourists and employees. my old highschool had an over crowding problem when the borgata was built, which sounds like a bad thing, but not as bad as being under populated. theres been a huge growth business development around here. 15-20 years ago there was a lot more empty space and farmland, and now there are strip malls on every corner. new stores being built every day. and that would all end if AC falls. so for the sake of my hometown, ill hope AC doesnt collapse.
