the only thing i blame religion for is being another outlet for mankind to show his true colors. religion in and of itself is not evil, but throughout history it has proven itself to be the best spark to ignite the "us vs. them" mentality in stupid people. so while i'm right there with all of you that say that tolerance and understanding should be paramount despite your beliefs, i cannot accept the argument of ANY that wish to do away with religion entirely. some people just need faith.
