If only Microsoft had made a Mac vs PC ad regarding Mac's transition to OSX. I don't want to relive that again.

What everyone is missing is that Apple has to resort to these tactics to get people to "switch" - which by the way in itself says a lot that they have to say "switch" and not just "buy. Microsoft couldn't give a s**t who bought Vista retail, they have a massive user base that at some point will either buy a new PC/laptop (with Vista) and or upgrade in the future.Although I do agree Apple needs to focus more on their strengths rather than constantly taking shots at the competition - maybe, just maybe they've realized that's all they have left now with Vista.
