linuxloop.com— The Eee PCs huge sales numbers are well known by now, but Asus just announced that the Eee PC is their most successful product ever! That's huge news from such a large company!

I'm planning on getting one soon. But I haven't decided what OS to install. Xandros is right out. I'm trying to decide between: Damn Small Linux, Zenwalk, XUbuntu, or ReactOS. I might just set it up to use the internal ram for storage and boot off whatever flash drive is plugged in.
I just wish they'd put make on by default, and GIMP. Not that I'm planning any major photo editing on the thing, just that I plan to do some painting and the two applications aren't particularly useful. I like Xandros in general, I think it's a better interface for the small screen, but I havn't added anything to the tabs, and it seems relatively difficult. Plus, what is eeeAP? I guess I can install it and then remove it. (Still havn't gotten an SD card)
If you read the first sentence alone, yes you could be right richbleak. However "Whilst the specs are low, the price reflects that." shows it was directed towards the eeePC, since he is talking about the specs on this laptop being low, and the prices on this laptop being low because of that.@Phil, I figured that you knew the difference since you used "There's" correctly, I just had to say it, no offense intended.

I agree, if only there was some kind of place for good (and free) technical writing.

It also runs, CS1.6, UT '99, UT2004 fairly well. And WoW runs decently.

I picked mine up at microcenter (Kansas) http://www.microcenter.com , if you live near one, you can even have it sent to the store and pick it up there. (They only had white in 4g)
