what about all the good stuff on youtube? just because a few videos are bad, they shouldn't ban everything.it's just teaching prejudice. I don't hate all blacks because one stole a tv. I just hate that particular person. I don't hate all Arabs because they flew a plane into multiple US buildings. I just hate all terrorists who hate America.

Waste of bandwidth for an educational environment. It should be banned. For educational reasons, they should ban Wikipedia. Its a horrible source for research. Kids need to learn how to use the Internet to do real research, not Wikipedia. Of course, that would take tech-savvy teachers...

gmail? that's terrible. Lots of people use gmail as their email. I can see why they would block digg, no offense, but it's way too addicting, but gmail? thats how I transfer homework from school to home and vise versa.

This is not news. YouTube has been blocked by department filters for months, as has My Space. And so it should be. Why the hell should tax payers have to foot the bill for unnecessary bandwidth costs?

Youtube should of been banned from the proxy in the first place... Why are you letting kids waste the school bandwidth on watching youtube videos in class?

Attacking the technology may not be the answer.Gotta remember we were all kids once. And when told we could'nt do something, we'd find a way.Maybe we should look at the underlying reasons for bullying.I know it is easier said then done, but bullying been around waaay before the Internet.Technology jest shifted it from the local schoolyard to the global community.
