enthusiast.hardocp.com — Assassin's Creed is the first game to support DirectX 10.1! Is AMD's ATI Radeon HD 3870 series GPU now competitive? It seems that thanks to DX 10.1, yes. But is Ubisoft taking that advantage away from 3800 series card owners?

This was a good read for a 3870 owner who is currently downloading AC. I look forward to playing this game

This game seriously looks very nice on my PC compared to my Xbox 360 version, and it supports the 360 wired controller as well. However, I get better performance than this review gives credit to for the 8800 GT. Mine is currently running 705mhz core 1000mhz memory on a overclocked 3.4ghz q660 with overclocked ddr2 1200 memory. 1680x1050 with 4xMSAA and AF on, min fps 30. For such an slow moving game it feels very smooth, but I think the horse animation and riding mechanics could be improved upon.

Correction: Rage 3D broke this story first and [H] didn't even give any credit until someone else called him on it.
