More half truths from the pathetic lying left. It is routine to leave equipment in theater and to swap it out to save transportation costs. Typical of the liberal idiots who know nothing of the military.

First of all, I have no idea how what you're saying has any relevance to the article from that leftist rag Business Week. How exactly does swapping out equipment have anything to do with shortages in equipment? It sounds like two different issues. Like 95% of digg users , I'm no military expert, so if you could explain this a little bit more, I'd appreciate it. I don't like being lied to but I definitely don't like explanations that leave me even more confused. Some links would be nice. I just don't see how having shortages of equipment is the same thing as what you're talking about. I'm avoiding insults and hyperbole entirely because I honestly want to hear your response without turning this into a bloodfest. And second, how do you explain why troops have had to improvise armor for their vehicles, something that was widely reported a couple of years ago? This is the sort of thing that article is addressing, and you surely can't use your "swapping out" argument to cover that.
