thinkprogress.org — Speaking in Florida this morning ? the very day that two of Wall Street?s major banking institutions collapsed ? Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) declared he ?still? believes ?the fundamentals of our economy are strong.?

What have Schumer and Franks been doing the last two years? They deserve some blame too.

It seems that everything that goes wrong is the result of President Bush. evidently all, the liberals posting comments online slept thru government class. the president can sign veto ignore or make suggestions to policy other than that it is the senate and the congress that actually screw things all up. and it takes a 2/3 majority to do anything. It is our other officials that are acting on behalf of the lobby groups that fund their election campaign's and provide them with PERKS to get legislation passed be it good or bad it is the greed of our politicians that has gotten us in this mess. They screw it up but the standing president gets the blame as he is the figurehead of our government. Obama can make all the promises in the world but he as well will have his hands tied by the congress and senate as well. I don't see how people can think the man can lead the country when he hasn't finished a full term as a senator yet. What alliances does he have in congress and the senate that are going to make his promises come true? That is the main problem in looking at a third party candidate that they don't have alliances with anyone in the lower government and would be fighting a constant battle with very limited results. The liberals would like to paint a pretty picture of their dream world but they don't know how to make it happen withoput causing the rest of the world to crumble. Take away the incentives for success and share the wealth and there will be no growth, no new jobs noone to fund the entitlements that the liberals want in place. The ideal democratic candidate would be Robin Hood taking from the rich to give to the poor. Till there are no rich anymore then who will Pay? Do the liberals not look at what they post to see how stupid and illiterate they come across with all their drivel? These days i don't agree with either side of the fence but we are offered a choice between two evils. A change needs to come but the polititions in office will fight to the death to keep things as they are, If we are to change things we need to out the old polititions and put in new that are for the people and not the lobbyist groups. unfortunately the people we need in office can't raise the capitol to compete in campaigns against the ones funded by special interest groups.

Wall Street goes on Welfare Lets face it folks Wall Street is going on welfare! With the latest round of government bailouts huge corporate giants like Bear Stearns, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and now AIG. The AIG bailout which consists of an $85 billion loan from uncle Sam in exchange for an 80 percent stake in the company. Excuse me if I sound a bit rash but what is going on here? If Wall Street really needs to go on welfare then they just need to come right out and say it.Read more http://www.openfuelresource.com

You know we all have to pay for the big shots mistakes, they should have to give up their nice salaries and bonus to pay for this bailout, their should be no need for the harding working class people to pay for all the assh**es that are out there with their thumb up their big asses. We will pay dearly for the mistakes that are going on. I hope obama wins and mccain you should go back to school to learn how to count, ref: how many homes do you have? We all should of been told about this big problem, I see bush did not do his job well at all. You should also take the money that we are pouring into the war, put that towards the bailout problem. It does not matter what president you put in now, you can not clean the mess that has been there for a long time. We the american people can make a change. It will be a long haul and it will all work out, but it will take time. Small business can say goodbye to there jobs, only the big companies will survive, and the big wiggs will always stay on top. If it were up to me I take all the big shots salaries and put it towards the bailout, they have created this big fiasco and now they are looking for help, well they all can kiss my ass and make it love story. I have to worry about my rent, food, clothing, gas, but you don't see them worrying do u? They should also investigate them people and prosecute them all, instead of giving them bonus and letting them go with a nice package. Something is wrong with this picture. We all will prevail and will be better off with out the mess that has been created by the greedy people and you all know who you are.

We the people should be president instead of the garbage that is out there. I think we will do better. Lets vote them all out. They suck big time, out with the old and in with the new.
