Gah; another site that thinks that a simple article has to be broken into 12 different pages.Anyways, regarding the contents of the article, I thought the concept it's presenting is obvious to everyone. Digg me down if I'm wrong. For a project, I had to get a printer with piezo printheads in order to support a special I was using. I had to buy 5 different Epson printers (of the same model) to get one that worked properly.

I'm sorry, but I have to throw my opinion in on this one. I sell printers for a living, and Brother inkjet machines are the only ones I nearly refuse to sell to someone. If they insist on buying it, I tell them not to come back to me complaining because it fell apart or it wants them to replace the cartridges when there's obviously still ink in them. For example, Brother's previous generation of printers. We had 5 different ones, and on 4 of the display models, something on them broke (hinge, carriage, etc) within a few months of them being on display. And they don't even get used very much, somebody will run a copy off on them once or twice a week...certainly not heavy use. Not to mention their cartridges, the LC-41 series. Brother was pretty stupid with these...they chipped them to make them stop working after so many prints....yet they made the cartridges clear so that people can see there's still ink in them. You have no idea how many people would come in complaining because their machine said it needed a new cartridge, but here's the cartridge still half full of ink. I won't even go into the low print quality on these. Let's just say it makes Lexmark look amazing in comparison.I just hate Brother inkjet machines...their lasers are still pretty decent though.

Rest assured that large companies are not being ripped off when it comes to printing.

I'm getting good mileage from my Canon i320. Bought it for $60 CDN from Future Shop and OEM ink is $10 for black, $20 for color at Staples. After 3 years and about 15 of each ink tank, the print head is still good and I've only had to take it right apart for a thorough cleaning on this last ink change. Probably the easiest printer I've ever worked on too.

Do you have to ask...when my ink costs as much as a cheap printer there IS a problem...what's worse is when my ink costs as much as a printer and runs if get a tiny drop of water on it!Bite my ass archival...sure until a flood happens.

Ya think? Of course they're ripping us off. I have an old hp 935c I think is the model... and while I have absolutely no complaints about the printer itself as it gets the job done, the cost of inkjets is f**king astronomical.. shops that still sell the ink jets for my printer don't sell a "combo" package anymore but instead will sell a two pack of black ink and a two pack of color ink. So... essentially to refill my printer, I have to spend almost DOUBLE the price of a brand new printer or for those who like figures over $100.00 (not counting michigan sales tax). Something is definitely wrong with this picture.

I've known inkjets have been a ripoff since 1996. 'll bet MOST other people do to including Diggers. I suppose it's good to remind people they are getting ripped off. Get a laser printer; they are much more economical.

To Futurepower:So what was your post if not a blatant advertisement for IMS-Ink?!You only have to look at the rest of the site to see it's not about advertising for Cartridge World or any other company. At least have a semblance of proof to backup your statements before making them.

Yes I think they are, thats why it's better to go with a company like <a class="user" href="http://www.hpprintercartridges.co.uk" rel="nofollow">http://www.hpprintercartridges.co.uk</a> for cheaper ink.
