youtube.com — Get this ad on TV! - http://truthandhope.org/Although I enjoyed Barack Obama's recent web ad "Embrace" (the one with lots of hugging between Bush and McCain), I still think the campaign needs to be a little harsher. The idea of a continuation of Bush policies into a third term should be scary, not playful. Furthermore, I think it's importa...

That's right, Latetntk. It's assumptions like kefkaan's that make these statistically faulty ads much more effective than they should be. For Christ's sake, I'm an Obama supporter! However, ads like this, claiming to be supported by 'statistical fact', are bogus. Isn't it obvious?Let's be honest, a majority of the problems a person like kefkaan has with Bush were never even voted upon in Congress (if you want to cite the passage of the Iraq War Resolution, blame a rally around the flag effect following 9/11, not anything McCain or Bush were solely responsible for) ! Kefkaan's disagreements with the current administration are not centered around legislative votes. However, a public approval rating of the president IS centered around kefkaan's perceived success or failure of "George Bush's " policies. The average American is not keeping track of every vote that takes place in Congress...who is?! There is no statistical correlation between Bush's approval rating and McCain's votes in the Senate. Can you really say that McCain is supporting "the perceived failure of Bush's policies" by partisan voting on random legislation within Congress. Wake up! They are both lazy and vote along party lines most of the time...that is all these statistics show!

Don't waste your time on arguing facts with these types of GOP supporters. They aren't swayed by it. He's arguing who has the lower approval rating and saying Obama flip-flopped. Can you say that McCain doesn't flip-flop?

Only poll that matters is on Nov 4th. I don't know what polls you're looking at but after McCain's clueless actions this week in responding to the financial crisis all the polls have swung back to Obama

I'm sorry but where are you getting your facts? You're starting to sound like your candidate, relying on baseless arguments. The William Ayers thing is played out. Answer me this; how old was Obama when Ayers was with the Weathermen? Also, are Univ. of Chicago student who take Ayer's class also 'have close ties with radical terrorists'?

Nope, hugs mean nothing but stating that you voted with the President over 90% of the time. Hiring advisers and lobbyists associated with the president to run your campaign and define your policy and pretty much agreeing to extend his policies and stay the course kinda does mean thats its going to be more of the same.
