wired.com— Apple is worth more than Google. Huh? This doesn't make sense to me. They're both strong technology giants with very large "moats." But Google is stronger, and its moat is bigger.

Agreed - but Google seems to be much better with it's software than Microsoft, not to mention that Google is one of the biggest leaders in consumer friendly software... I don't know, I think they'll keep close tabs on what hardware they'll support. I think it's just healthy competition, for example, iPhones are only for AT&T in the US, whereas the first Google Phones will start on multiple providers (Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc). Money-wise, I think Google's gonna rake in more $ simply because they have a bigger market. As far as Cell Phones go, the big companies such as LG, Samsung, Motorola, etc - they make some pretty damn good hardware - the software has always been the lacking factor in my phones. Now with newer processors for the mobile industry, and Apple and Google designing great software, I can easily see a Google Phone and Apple Phone being pretty equal in features. :)
When the Apple 2 came out(1978) they had 80% market share in OS(this was before the MS-DOS and IBM alliance. Microsoft was making Programming languages solely) and PC(The Apple 2 was first mass-market PC) markets.
but its all the same product line you see, sure, phones and ipods and computers, but its basicly the same thing that sells those three. design and coolness, if apple looses that its lost almost everything, and design and coolness is a flimsy thing to trust in. Google might be standing on one foot, but its a sturdy foot. not to mention, they have us hooked, no matter the OS, the Computer, your preferences etc, Gmail is very big, google IS the search engine. not to mention the ever growing cloud. ppl are more and more(slowly, but steadily) using the cloud apps(like google docs and other strictly online services that are replacing old-school products that are localized to one computer). If they manage to capitalize on the cloud concept and integrate it into the android thingy(the phone). they are gonna be the new Microsoft(atleast in terms of dominance). heck, if thats the case, i see computers like the eeePc becoming the standard, light, small, with lightweight interfaces built around connectivity and cloud apps. no need for 500giga hard drives when its all on the cloud anyway.wow, that went off topic!
"Yeah, it just so happens that everyone else recalls what happened the last time Jobs 'left.' For all of their 'handpicked engineers,' the company absolutely tanked."A lot of the handpicked engineers either just plain left Apple when Steve left, or they actually went with Steve.

Oh, and one last thing. Apple stopped using glossy white finishes on almost all of their products.

1. Aluminium is the correct English spelling.2. You're is correct in this instance. You probably think it's 'your'.3. You can start a sentance with 'and'. See http://www.businesswritingblog.com/business_writin ...Or simply search Google if your tiny brain is up to the task. You fail :(
