apple.com— The update is available in their software update program on windows/mac. Maybe they should update their site to say "Our engineers have make safari to be secure from day 4 ;)

I totally agree! NO ONE can REALLY f**k up windows than good ole Microsoft.Shame on Apple for going half ass and putting out a product that works half the time... Microsoft should sue! :P
The Mac philosophy seems to be to set the proxy config in 1 place and have all internet apps automatically use those settings, instead of changing umpteen configurations every time you have a network change. Going along with this is the fact that you can SAVE collections of a network config as a Location- I'm sure you have loads of fun telling all those "goddamn networking programs" not to use your local cache when you take your laptop to the airport. Windows doesn't seem to have a philosophy, period, and the usual habit of "just using IE's settings" isn't any sort of policy or philosophy at all.

They also point this out so MAYBE.. just maybe... you will realize that a secure program ceases to be secure on an unsecure OS.
