Wow, you're right. The LG is stable in these areas...it helps you make calls...wow.....and yet it's "s**ttier".............Is this the typical iPhone fanboy logic? I am now at loss for words.

Apple will never come out with a "cheap" netbook. In fact, they've already had a netbook on the market for almost 2 years. Its called the Macbook Air!Apple doesnt do "low prices" yet. I'm hoping some solid competition comes along like there has been to the itunes store which has forced Apple to step up to the DRM-Free plate, but from what we have learned so far, if you want "cheap" hardware, you need to go with Dell or Linux. Apple doesnt do "cheap". You pay a premium for a premium product.

What makes a netbook a netbook is acknowledging its limitations. An ultralight notebook is designed to be as powerful as it can be when crammed into a sub 2kg shell. Think Air, Lifebook, X200. Pay to play.A netbook is the fortuitous confluence of cheap parts that happen to create a small device that can do the job of an 8 year old desktop.

Didn't the 12" Powerbook come before netbooks? (also, see; exceptions in my original post)Limitations change. (see; Atom 1.60GHz and Atom 1.66GHz)Size is constant. Price, computing performance, weight, etc is not.

Apple is selling to a specific market. The Air was kind of all wrong. They could replace the Air with this new netbook if they make it.And yes, it's known you can put OSX on pretty much any Windows machine, but the average Apple buyer doesn't quite know how necessarily, nor do they feel like bothering with it if they do.Plus, a lot of people pay for the fact that a Mac's design is aesthetically pleasing.

Too late Apple, I already bought 2 Dell Mini 9's and if I really want to can change them to OS X anyway! Besides I got two for around 500 bucks which is what yours will cost for ONE!

I love the last sentence in the article. "Unless of course we missed the launch of the Blu-ray Xbox 360 and G5 PowerBooks."
