I think Apple would have been better putting the iMac components into a standalone tower. Mac midi.I'd buy one of them in an instant and couple it with a DECENT display, not one of Apple's crappy Cinema HD ones with ONE input. I mean, you can get a Dell 24" display CHEAPER and it has about five different inputs - including component video for games consoles and HD-DVD players.
I just took a ruler and measured out an extra 6 diagonal inches on my 17" LCD and got shivers. I want to see a GPU upgrade in this imac. Maybe, oh, I don't know, a high-end card?
Nobody wants old computers and if they have huge monitors stuck in them it's just more landfill fodder when something trivial breaks down or needs upgrading. You had to shift your 20" iMac onto some mug and buy a new 20" iMac after one year because the 'old' one is now obsolete? Looking back over your posts I see that you were then disappointed you'd bought another 20" instead of waiting for something a bit more shiny. With purchasing adeptness like that I find it hard to believe you got a good price. Now while you may think that 'a few hundred' every few month (USD I assume from the slang) is worth while ...one year is hardly a long time for an entire system.Your pissing your money down the drain desperately trying to sell 'Almost new / Bought in error / Unwanted gift / Fully boxed / OMG they've released a red one!' hardware at a huge loss while we drown in a sea of discarded, toxic, PC s**t.Apple introduced a 24" model yesterday. Christ, that'll need a big bin.I don't know, one dimensional kids today.More greed than sense and the attention span of a ****.
