Wasn't a joke but you didn't get it. Last I checked the Ipod G6 with video was about $20 less expensive than the creative M. And The Ipod nano cost cheaper than many of it's competitors with similar features too. But I'm happy to pay that extra 20 to get something a little more open.So yeah that did kind of go over your head.
Of course you can do this -- it works like any other iPod. Well, all of them, that is, except the iPod shuffle. You press the center button once to indicate you want to scrub through the song, and then you use the scroll wheel to navigate through the song.

Actually, it seems like the article meant that Apple was expecting revenue from selling ipods to fall, not actually cutting the price.

Apple usually prefers to up the specs of products while keeping the price the same.'More value for your money' etc.J
