appleinsider.com — All of Apple's US retail outlets are now in a permanent launch mode and will open as much as two hours earlier each day to accommodate the unprecedented demand for the new iPhone. Also, at least some locations are now giving customers rainchecks for the day's iPhone 3G stock.

Yep, I get it that people are bitching that they can't give Apple $200 for something they already have early enough. Your point, fanboy?

Pretty sure some people who want to buy an iPhone might care. But I'm guessing you were just being an ass and probably knew that already. That probably makes me a fanboy it the eyes of a ****.

I went to my local AT&T store Friday and they told me it was a 15-20 day wait... unless I wanted the white one and it would be 72 hours.

I would get the 8gb, but since I had that already, if I am going to upgrade I might as well go big or go home.

Amusingly, my wife and I were about to go shopping and decided to check last minute. They showed as in stock again so we went and waited. And behold, she is now happily playing with her iPhone. My advice to people who want one - stop being lazy and just wake up early. If you don't want to do that, just wait until they become available. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool phone but seriously, it's just a phone in the end.

It really doesn't matter which color you get if you're just going to put a case on it anyways. I realized this after ordering mine through DF.

It's not a factual statement. I could easily run Crysis on a Mac if I wanted to.

Try getting one in Australia, I queued up in the morning on launch day and the store had a whopping 2 handsets, One 8GB and one White, so I rainchecked a 16GB Black handset and I'm still waiting for it.
