appleinsider.com — While the more cautious phone buyers have stayed away from the iPhone for numerous practical reasons, one source claims that Apple's handset is due to solve most of these problems with upgrades in coming months -- many of which will arrive with or before the company's Mac OS X upgrade.

I agree with much of that list, but I have to refute one point -- "Scratch Heaven"? You should watch some of the stress test videos. People have put this thing through hell and haven't gotten it to scratch at all! Apple made a really fantastic choice with the materials they used. And for the processor that's in it, I wouldn't say browsing is slow under WiFi! Sure, slower than it would be on your 2.4Ghz Core Duo, but browsing is one of the most breakthrough parts of this device. Worlds above any other portable option out there.

@TomFrostIn theory, WiFi browsing should be much faster than what it currently is at, and much closer to browsing through a computer. Hell, I've seen mobile phones that can browse the web faster through the carrier's network (Granted, that was in Japan, where they have HSDPA).

I'm loving my iPhone. There's only a few minor updates I'd like to see in the coming months. As-is I love it though.

right, because if they had chosen any other US Carrier with a CDMA network...then you could really travel the world with it!!!!!Too bad the rest of the world uses GSM too, those bastards!

You can find Meebo and many other iPhone applications at http://iphoneapplicationlist.com/I haven't tried any yet, but it seems to be a central location for developers to share their iPhone applications. Let me know if anyone finds any gems...

I agree ... MMS, custom ringtones were the top 2 features I miss with my iPhone. I moved over from a BlackBerry and (desktop) sync with Lotus Notes would also be a nice (3rd Party) app at least for calendar and tasks. Hopefully all these updates will be software based -- the last thing I want is to have to buy another iPhone to get the features I want.
