I'd agree with you....if it wasn't for the fact that LogMeIn is now available for Macs as well, and has been for a few months or so. The Mac version isn't as nice as the Windows version, but it's still free, and it gets the job done. https://secure.logmein.com/products/mac/Check it out

Yeah, an extremely large percentage of BSODs are hardware failure... hardly in the hands of the OS and how it handles drivers... So consider yourself lucky that you haven't seen any bad ram or had any hard drive failures.

Is it just me, or does an upgrade from 10.4 to 10.5 sound like a patch?I mean really, selling a patch for over $100 is sort of a rip off in my eyes, even more so when you look at the prices for the Apple brand hardware...Vista, admittedly, is hardly better. They're trying to sell an entire OS for upwards of $400...

My feeling exactly. I used to use Fedora before I got my Mac. Now I dual-boot Fedora 7 with OS X on my Macbook pro, and I tend to use 99% of my computing time on Fedora. I have 3D Beryl on, so it wasn't much of a freshness.I do plan to buy Leopard, since I know I'll be using OS X one way or the other; it's just not as compelling at this time, since I'm so used to GNU/Linux.
