defectivebydesign.org — Apple claims your freedom is just too dangerous. You might be a drug dealer! But it's greed like Apple's, which will stoop to the lowest kinds of threats to justify crippling everyone else's potential with DRM, that we should be worried about.

I'm not sure why people are surprised by Apple using DRM. That is old news. What DBD.org is reporting on is the fact that they are making ridiculous claims in support of DRM.

Wasn't Steve Jobs selling blue boxes etc that ripped off AT&T to help fund Apple? What a joke.

apple just wants to milk you for the maximum amount of money as possible

I think you missed the point. Just the fact that you bought an iPhone rewards Apple for this type of behavior. They then take your money and use it to lobby politicians to support their archaic DRM scheme, and harms everyone, regardless of whether they own any Apple products or not.

The big problem is that the majority of people just don't care about drm. :(They label it as "technical stuff" so they just don't care. The only thing they care and see is that the iphone is "cool".I know people who preferred it over android phones (more free, almost same when not better functions) only for the fashion factor. We need to speak to people, we need to bring drm issues to their attention in a language and in a way they can undesrstand. Maybe less techie and more people friendly.Only doing this we can change how people view these products.LibrePlanet.org is a project to build a global network of free software activist around the globe. Please join us and start spreading the word about freedom restrcting issues.Thank you all!--Graziano Sorbaioli http://sorbaioli.org
