musicindustryreport.org— Apple’s iTunes is now the nation’s largest music seller - with 20 percent of the market. Amazon has about 8 percent. And some studies show most music is now downloaded for free illegally.

Amazon isn't #2. It's just the only other one mentioned with a specific number. From the top: "NPD found that iTunes was leading the top 5 music retailers here in the U.S., followed by Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Amazon and Target."Last quarter the percent breakdown was at 19, 15, 13, 6, and 5. Amazon's pulled up a bit--probably due to online sales (though I imagine their CD sales still makes up the bulk of their total)--but the others certainly haven't lost half their marketshare that fast.
Who the hell can't afford 99 cents for a song? Back when I was a kid it cost about £3-4 ($6-7) for a CD single. You kids today think everything should be free or ridiculously cheap. Get a job.
