I don't understand why their touchpads don't have the vertical/horizontal scrolling sections. I know Jobs hates buttons...but it's not even a button. Just draw some arrows on there and you've got TWO new features; well, you can scroll both UP and DOWN on each, so FOUR NEW FEATURES!

But this $1000 machine has a built-in Webcam. To keep the price down, I'm thinking Apple thought low-end users would go more for video chats than burning movies. But a future update may be able to take advantage of the price drop you're talking about. Apple chooses a price point then what technology will be included, not the other way around.
