@invergoatie. I drive a 07 335i and a 08 750Li. I own a PC yes. A laptop and a desktop customized by Alienware. Each costs much more than your Mac. Let me guess, you own a Mac but yet drive a Honda? Aim a little higher to be smug there little buddy.@1nhuman. Maybe you're right. My laptop and desktop each cost more than a Mac pro. But one thing to note is that it does laps around the Mac. I am tech saavy so I don't need the support that Mac users need. Pretty ridiculous to ask for support when dealing with a dumbed down operating system if you ask me. 800 dollar premium is accurate. You can build a identical system with the same parts of a Mac for about that much cheaper and install OS X (if you want to set limits to what you can do with a computer).So in conclusion... I should definately not buy a computer that is underpowered for it's price. I do like the shiny case, but 800 for aluminum isn't really worth it.

False advertisement.Big screen? That's not part of a computer, unless it's an integrated computer. You can always buy a new monitor as big as man can make.Fast processor? Macs use Intel CPU nowadays. I mean a LIMITED RANGE of Intel CPUs, which are welded to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.No virus? Try pirated iWork '09 trojan horse. You can't blame PC for getting virus, if you are stupid enough to install those malwares.No headaches? Arr!!! f**k my Macbook Pro! The screen got 12 black dead pixels in one month of usage. The left fan started screaming every time I turned the damned laptop on or moved it. I can't put the laptop on your lap top, unless I wanna turn my legs into BBQ. The keyboard jams time to time. Despite the Caps Lock being lite, characters are still typed in lower case....I hate my MBP!

Because you're not getting better hardware unless you build it yourself.Sure, you're getting a brand-name CPU and GPU - but otherwise, I'd bet you don't actually know much at all about what sort of hardware is in that box.Also, keep in mind that you're talking about ARTISTS. You said it yourself. They're not developers or engineers, they're artists. They probably don't care to even know what went into their computer as long as it works and works well.You're also forgetting that Macs have been standard for graphics designers for a long time - yes, now you can run Photoshop on a PC just as well, but this wasn't always the case. PCs and Macs have different file formats - you can't always just transfer the file to a PC and have it read it just fine. If you've been a graphic designer for a long time, you might have a TON of files that were created on Macs, and you probably aren't willing to take the chance.

Most Mac users seem to run without antivirus software. You would never do the same with a PC, unless you're either really ballsy or you're depending on another PC to provide your antivirus protection.

Paid for 10.5, and it ran worse. Now, maybe i'm not seeing all the facts here, but on a premium laptop that's maybe 2 years old i expect the 'latest and greatest' to run pretty well. So no, i'm not a hater, or in denial. I'm someone that invested heavily in to apple hardware and software, and wasn't as impressed as i hoped to be.

A mac is a PC.. Personal computer... Sounds like you're compareing the operateing systems and not the hardware. My Linux box is running on your "PC" hardware, what would you call that?
