examiner.com — 1. No images of women in bikinis ( I personally found this rule highly hypocritical as the SI swimsuit app is a top app on iTunes.) 2. No images of men in bikinis 3. No skin 4. No silhouettes 5. No sexual connotations or innuendo. 6. Nothing that can be sexually arousing 7. No apps will be approved that in any way

Let's see about some of these... 1. No images of women in bikinis 2. No images of men in bikinis 3. No skin 4. No silhouettes 5. No sexual connotations or innuendo. 6. Nothing that can be sexually arousing 7. No apps will be approved that in any way imply sexual contentWell that wipes out just about everything except for Excel.Bikini clad cuties are always popular, even if just as spokesmen.Everybody except possibly someone in a gimp suit shows some skin.Unless they are in silhouette, but they've banned that too. You'd be amazed how many mundane things people relate to sex.Again, see the previous line.Still once more, see the previous line.I'm just wondering how long until the pitchfork and torch mob descends upon the land of steve if they keep up with this insane arbitrary and some would say random and sometimes secret rules.

So what are you going to do when you download an app from happyapp.com and it robs your bank account, sends your GPS location constantly to a GPS syndicating stalker-server, and sends fake emails to all your friends' phones telling them you are really perverted and infects them with a virus and laughs really loudly right before it crashes? And then, the same thing happens to them? There are good reasons for locking things down. Especially, phones - given how much surveillance hardware technology they are bristling with to begin with. Having malicious software in them would just be insane.Wait until you start hearing about people getting really serious privacy violations, identity theft, online banking/shopping fraud (robbery), and industrial espionage at work happen because of their phones getting infected with slick, proficient, illegal malware. Sometimes, "that's not fair!" doesn't cut it.

The Droid sucks. The only good thing about it is the OS. The manufacturer sucks, the form factor sucks and the network its on sucks.
