"Seriously. I bet half of the PC market never bought a Mac just because of the one button mouse... ;)"I'll admit it - though we have a G4 in the house (for my wife's graphic design work) and I was always intrigued by it, the one button kept me away. It was a mental limitation on my part - I know this. Anyways... finally broke down and plugged in a M$ usb optical mouse and have been loving it ever since! Had to break down further and get my wife all her needed graphic apps for the PC since she can't get me off the Mac anymore...With that said - this looks pretty sweet...
I'm sorry Apple, you're like 10 years late. Now comeon, its just a normal mouse and it gets 1000 diggs.Digg = 99% Apple lovers and Microsoft haters + .9% Microsoft lovers Apple haters + .1% Indifferent. No wonder why people flame so much here.Apple is 10 years late with a mouse, and 'supposedly' Microsoft is a year behind the looks of Apple yet you people praise Apple? This calls for a site reform..............
"Mighty Mouse allows you to right click without a right button. Capacitive sensors under Mighty Mouse’s seamless top shell detect where your fingers are and predict your clicking intentions, so you don’t need two buttons"Now that sounds like it will screw up a lot. It sounds like any bump or slight pressure on the mouse will result in a click. The best part of that thing is the little track ball on top. left/right scrolling will be useful. Though I feel left right will be used a lot less then up/down and that a track ball might result in unwanted left/right drift when you are trying to use up/down. I would like to see a standard wheel mouse adopt a left right but make it so you tilt the wheel left and right and it scrolls only up/down like normal.
So even after they finally released a 2 button mouse the M$ people came out to comment about how it cost less to buy a PC - mouse. They can't just be happy which I have come to expect from people who have invested so much time in a product with so many flaws. I spent a lot of money fixing my first car and no matter what anyone told me that for what I spent fixing it I could have bought a better truck for much less.. It is a psychological condition a PC user will never admit something is better when they have invested so much to keep the PC running.. I am happy apple has released a 2 button mouse but I have been using a logitech for months and it works great. The 2 button option has been there forever..
I'm an "Apple only" guy and this is my opinion.1) The Mighty Mouse is the coolest mouse on the planet!2) Apple should have never made it. Apple has always made a mouse with a single button, and there is not reason to change now.
Why does Apple NEED right clicking mice? Because your Windows can't work without right-clicking everything? Sorry dude, that right button just sits there most of the time.. unless you're left handed.
Crazy thing is though, they still don't need it. The problem is Macs sudden gain in popularity. Microsoft junkies had always been crying over the one button mouse, so they had little choice but to add a useless button to the design. I must say though, it is an awesome design. It's a normal mouse, yet gives the comfort of knowing that you still have that oh-so important right button.

Meh. If I see these replacing the Logitec mice that seem to be ordered every time a Mac is, I'll *ponder* getting one.
