Oh I'm sorry! So now it's slower because it's "doing it right" this time? I wonder what was wrong with permission checking in Tiger...That was so blindly fanboyish, it gave me nausea.
My old Powerbook G4 isn't having too much fun with this, but it'll settle down in a day or two. Fingers crossed on a aluminum encased Macbook coming soon.
