docs.info.apple.com— Apple's new software update for iPod adds a setting where you can choose your maximum volume and set a combonation to avoid the kids changing it!

It's about time something like this should happen....although the only people who are going to use it are consciensius (sp?) adults who sometimes turn the volume up too loud. Like other commentors have said, MOST parents aren't going to be able to set it, let alone update the iPod (MOM!)
For people wanting a similar feature on older iPods and other players, just buy a cheap headphone extension cord with an inline volume control, and use it to set the maximum volume.
it seems to me that they've crippled the shuffle. the max volume is lower than it used to be. it doesn't play loud enough in my car anymore.has anyone else noticed this or have I just become a little paranoid?
