toucharcade.com— iPhone developer Manomio has been secretly working on a major App Store project for the past year that has just been completed, but may never see the light of day in its current form.

Why would Manomio move ahead with the game with only a verbal agreement? I'm wouldn't invest time and money into something like that without a signed contract. Would EA or Bioware go into development with a game with only a verbal agreement from Microsoft or Sony? Very unlikely.
Stop supporting apple. They aren't ever going to stop pulling crap like this. I hope this guy moves his project over to Palm/Blackberry/Android/Zune and other devs follow. What a waste.

Why develop for iPhone when you have to jump through hoops just to distribute your app? I'm not interested.

A sucker for good technology, perhaps. My iPhone is worth far more to me than what I pay for it. You should try one sometime.
