Why exactly should they be fired for approving an app which was not in violation of any of the App Store guidelines? Oh because they should have foreseen that some whiny group of Politically Correct crusaders would attack Apple on this issue and someone in upper management would cave? That's why they should be fired? Because they can't see into the future?
"Yes, twisted and in bad taste, but so what? What's wrong with people today?"It is very bad taste. Besides as a company I wouldn't want something like this marring the 1 billion downloads, would you? It's just not really a very appropriate application really. Some "bad taste" you can get away with, but some subjects just need to be avoided at all costs. This being one of them.
1) The stats came out of my ass, but you get the idea I'm trying to make.2) Agreed Jailbroken/homebrew is quite good (my iPod Touch was jailbroken). But the instability didn't outweigh the benefits.3) No, it's not like saying bittorent is violating the DMCA.
Yes, but where is the "bad taste line" and who gets to draw it? Well, of course it being apple's phone and company, they of course have the right to ban whatever they want. I say let the market decide. If people don't like it, it will fade away because no one will buy it.Maybe apple should have a section in their apps for "adult humor" or "possible offensive humor". Even better, let people load apps that they like, without apple involvement. Perhaps the Android open source phone will allow people that kind of control. We can only hope.
Just think.Instead of shaking babies, shake Octomom. Shake her until a baby falls out. After 8, you shake her until your arms are numb.#1 iPhone app of all time.

tomis - Offensive apps are not allowed in the app store. And if someone can not see that app is offensive then they must be as stupid as you are!

To start, yes. But if you shake it hard enough, extra lives just slide right out.
